I'm here today to show you how simple and easy it is to make freezer jam. Today I'm making strawberry freezer jam, but you can use any typical fruit when it's readily available throughout the year.

So right now I have one and a half cups of sugar mixed into my bowl here and I'm going to add the freezer jam pectin. Now you just want to add this and give it a good stir to make sure it's well distributed.

At this stage you can add any type of zest of lime, orange or lemon. Or even add some vanilla or some minced lavender or some black pepper.

These additions will allow you to make your own signature flavour jam. Your next step is you want to crush your fruit really really well, one layer at a time. And again I'm making strawberry, use any type of berry that you have in season. And then you're going to measure out your four cups of crushed fruit.

Right now I have my fruit in here, so I'm just going to add the remaining fruit, and I'm making sure that it all gets in there, and then what you want to do is ensure that you stir it really well for three minutes, evenly distributing your pectin and the strawberries.

Okay our next step is to take your freshly cleaned jar, and you want to take your funnel as well, and you want to place it into your jar, making sure that you bring it up to half an inch from the top of the jar.

If you happen to get a little bit of the jam on the side of the jar, just give a little wipe and put your sealing lid on there. Place in your refrigerator for three weeks and/or your freezer for one year. Enjoy your jam.
