This is Yard Rescuers and we’re going to teach these neighbours how to get the lawns and gardens they’ve always wanted, so join us to see how we can bring these yards back to life in just a few easy steps with help from the latest Scotts and Miracle-Gro products.
On this episode of Yard Rescuers, we’ll help Shannon get started on her flower garden, turning her hard-packed soil into a fertile foundation for her plants to thrive.
What do you want to do with your garden this year? Chris, I would love to have a flower garden, but honestly, I find my flowers just do not grow here.
Have you ever replaced or added soil to your garden? No, I haven’t. Let’s take a closer look. You have such a great space here. You’re getting plenty of sunlight and it’s out of the wind, and that leaves us with soil quality as the culprit, and the key to every great garden is great soil. And you want a light, nutrient-rich foundation that will nurture your new plants and flowers. We have some great Miracle-Gro products that will help you get started. Let’s go take a look.
Alright, Shannon. Here we have Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Garden Soil, and this stuff is great. It improves soil structure while adding back organic matter to create a fertile foundation for your plants to thrive. It also prevents over- and under-watering by absorbing up to 25% more water than regular soil and releases it to plants when they need it. It even has Miracle-Gro Plant Food to feed your garden for up to three months. And to ease your plants’ transition into their new home, we also have Miracle-Gro Quick Start. This will stimulate your plants’ roots and helps avoid transplant shock, which can shorten the lives of young plants. And we don’t want that.
So you want to use this for your first few waterings to give them a healthy start. Are you ready to get planting? Absolutely. Wow, Shannon, that is looking amazing. I’m so proud of you. Thanks, Chris. I am so happy with the way it turned out. And now that you have a light, nutrient-rich soil foundation, you’re going to see some big results this summer.
