<p>I'm here to give you a tip on how to prepare your sealing disk when canning. Many years ago we used to tell our canners to boil the lids, and what we discovered as you're boiling the lids it would scratch the enamel on the base of these lids.</p>
<p>Now we're indicating to our canners, just place the sealing disk in some hot water, and then turn off the heat until you're ready to use.</p>
